DUI checkpoints scheduled for tonight | Transportation

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting Public Safety Checkpoints, as well as aggressive traffic patrols,  throughout Berkeley County during the this holiday season.

The H.E.A.T. (Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic) team will be aggressively patrolling for alcohol or drug-impaired drivers during this historically dangerous time to be on the roadways.

Tonight, deputies will set up at Highway 27 and I-26 at 8 p.m. and at South Live Oak Road and Airport Road at 2 a.m.
