Monster Jam returns to Lowcountry January 11-12 | Events

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - Monster Mutt Rottweiler, Iron Man, Virginia Giant, and many more will rev their engines for monster truck carnage at the North Charleston Coliseum in 2013.

Monster Jam will return to the North Charleston Coliseum after a six year absence on Friday, January 11 and Saturday, January 12. Both shows will start at 7:30 p.m.

According to a release, each monster truck is approximately 12-feet tall and 12-feet wide, and weighs a minimum of 10,000-pounds. The high-powered vehicles are capable of reaching speeds up to 100-miles-per-hour, and can fly up to 35-feet in the air.

Each Monster Jam show is made up of three events - the pit party, racing and freestyle. The pit party offers fans a chance to meet their favorite drivers and get up close and personal with the trucks.

Tickets for either show start at $20, while kid’s tickets (2-12) are $10.  Tickets can be purchased at the Coliseum Box Office or by phone at 1-800-745-3000.
